Be Rich is our annual generosity campaign where we get to Give, Serve, and Love our community in Jesus' name. On this page you can explore how to participate this year to help us make a difference in the City of Kalamunda.
How Can You Be Involved?
Give
You can help support our local Not-For-Profit Champions: Lesmurdie Primary School P&C and ARK Australia. Here is a little bit about both of these great not-for-profits.
Lesmurdie Primary School P&C supports the school’s 300 students, teachers, and parents by running community events, fundraising to enhance the student experience, providing a stipend for a wellness dog, and providing financial gifts to teachers to help with unexpected expenses. This dedicated group is making a real difference—championing the next generation while supporting the teachers and parents who guide them.
ARK Australia is exploring the establishment of a group here in the City of Kalamunda to support foster families by engaging local churches. We have the opportunity to contribute both a financial seed and people power, helping to provide practical care and encouragement for foster families in our community.
The two ways to give are:

Serve
This year we are encouraging those who are already serving local organisations to let us know so we can measure the generosity that is unleashed in our community from people who are a part of Lesmurdie Baptist Church. Simply CLICK HERE to fill in a form to let us know here and how often you serve. There is also a form each Sunday you can fill-in in person.
Love
Loving the people closest to us—our neighbours—is one of the most powerful ways we can show the love of Jesus to our world.
This year, we’re challenging you to show love to your neighbours in one (or more) of these ways:
Food – Take your neighbour some food. Store-bought or homemade, it’s the thought that counts.
Gift – Give your neighbour a gift. Again, store-bought or homemade is fine.
Company – Spend time with your neighbour. (Sorry—store-bought is not an option.)
You might already do this as part of your normal rhythm, or it might be a new step for you. Either way, we want to celebrate your choice to love your neighbour. We’ve set up a station at church to show the impact we’re making together—just grab a “neighbour token” (off-brand LEGO piece) and drop it into the matching container.
